Baljit
Founder of India Beyond Taj Baljit; for the past 12 years has been literally walking in and out of the Himalayas. Along with the thrills of the hike, he believes that travel is matter of the inner spirit. Learning and discovery of the self is an integral part of any journey. Being an enthusiastic traveler Baljit has been instrumental in organizing treks, biking expeditions, rafting expedition and jeep safaris in the Himalayas. He holds a Masters degree in Business Administration from Punjab University.
This wealth of experience coupled with associations with a variety of outstanding individuals who have excelled in adventure tourism & strong linkages with local people make Baljit a highly effective tour operator. He is a rock climber, distance runner and an avid guitarist, having specialized in the western classical style. Baljit has also been involved in the organization of MTB Himachal – an annual International Mountain biking event that stands committed to the people of Himachal Pradesh to promote sustainable tourism and use Mountain Cycling as a tool to establish it as one of the premier destinations for cycling internationally.

Krishnan
Krishnan has been traveling all over the country ever since his childhood. Spurred on in his adventures by his geologist father, Krishnan has trekked extensively in the Himalayas. He has trekked in the Himalayan states of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Uttar Pradesh, Nepal, Sikkim, Meghalaya and Assam. His numerous Himalayan treks have taken him close to some of the most breathtaking and awe inspiring views in the world. His interest in ancient Indian history has led to following old stories and the exploration of ancient temples and historical monuments. Apart from the Himalayas, Krishnan has also trekked extensively in the Sahayadri ranges in Maharashtra and completed a 1000+ mile cycle trek along the western coast of India. He has also been on numerous trips to wild life reserves and temple circuits through out the country. Krishnan holds a Basic Mountaineering certificate granted by the Western Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Manali) and has also trekked along a few trails in North-East United States of America. Krishnan has completed technical degrees from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay and Harvard University, Massachusetts. He has a deep rooted passion for the Sanskrit language and perseveres to study classical texts under traditional teachers. You can listen in to some enchanting stories from Sanskrit literature while enjoying a break during your journey. He is an amateur flautist and enjoys bird watching and star gazing.
